We have been growing our own grapevines and producing wines for over 20 years. We have expanded our vineyard to share our passion with the consumer. We continue to perfect our skills of viticulture to provide a quality product and to help establish the Susquehanna Valley as a premier wine region.
The Painted Fox name is derived from a fable about a fox "painting" itself in mud, then playing dead to catch birds that come to feed on it. We will use the concept of "painting a fox" around our winery, and have artists create unique art about the fox, the fable, and grapes & wine.

We have worked to grow the perfect vines that will produce quality grapes. Our goal is to create exceptional wines from the local soil: from our land to your bottle.

We produce an assortment of both white and red wines. We have Germanic varietals such as Riesling, Gruner Veltliner, and Blaufränkish, but also the more traditional wines such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. We also produce local favorites such as Vidal and Chambourcin.
Our winery is currently "by appointment only". Give us a call to reserve a time slot for a personal group tasting at our winery. We also open our doors for your event. Enjoy our wines while you entertain your guests. Call us today for details.
